How to Set Up Your Unit for the First Time

Introduction

Congratulations! You are now owner of a Quatro Air iVAC Twin Dust Collector, an advanced effective purifier designed specifically for the human respiratory system. You can expect a noticeable improvement in air quality as the unit begins the process of reducing microscopic airborne particulate, dust, harmful gases, smoke, and pollen etc.

Safety Precaution

Keep all fastening hardware tight to ensure that the unit is in safe working condition. Familiarise yourself with the way in which filters are installed & replaced. All filters must be in place whenever this machine is in operation. Use only on a grounded electrical circuit; do not use any two-wire electrical prong adapters to defeat proper grounding. If servicing the unit, be careful not to touch the motor as soon as it has been turned off.

IMPORTANT: Ensure power supply is unplugged during maintenance or filter service

Pre Start-Up Checklist

  1. Upon arrival, inspect unit for either visible or concealed damage. Damage should be immediately reported to the transport company.
  2. All filters are present and are correctly installed prior use
  3. Labels and serial numbers are present for future identification
  4. Verify that power supply is compatible with equipment. Check the unit is plugged into a grounded receptacle

Start-Up

WARNING: Do not operate unit until you’ve confirmed all filters have been installed

  1. Place the unit in the desired area for use. Ensure all filters are installed (remove all plastic wrapping)
  2. Make sure the air intake area (bottom) is not obstructed in any way
  3. Insert male end of power cord into grounded circuit
  4. Press RED POWER BUTTON, unit will start, press “+” or “-“ to switch speed “HIGHER” or “LOWER”
  5. Unit should now be functioning and operational
When to Replace Your Filters

Your unit comes equipped with a Service Filters light on the control panel. When this light is illuminated, it is recommended that you order new filters as soon as possible.
Reduced air flow is a common symptom of dirty filters.

My Motor Shuts Off

There are a couple of reasons why your motor may randomly turn off:

  • Possible Cause: Motor overheated, tripped on thermal cutout
  • Suggested Solution: Switch power off, unplug, wait till motor cools, replace filters/verify blockage.
  • Possible Cause: Motor/motor brushes past service life
  • Suggested Solution: Replace motor/motor brushes.
